I can respect that. But now your making it sound like "dancing for tuition". All thoes folded dollar bills you gave up was also for promotion? LOL
Nothing against the OP but if I were on social media and this was presented to me by people I knew I would totally cast my vote, but to come on a forum that you don't even frequent ( from basically strangers) asking a favor for a popularity contest is what rubbed me the wrong way...
Same principal as a parent taking a fundraiser ro work, sure it's great for the cause but teaches the child nothing..My parents would take that stuff to work and I'd mostly win the "contest" . Looking back at that saddens me, it really sucked for the kids that did the hard work themselves just to have a parent take it into a huge workplace and clean house..If you guys would like to help out give 20$ to St Jude children's hosipital...
Thanks for the support guys. Just spoke with my daughter and she said she received an email informing her that she made the top 10 but was not the one drawn to win the saddle. She asked me to tell everyone she appreciated their votes and that getting in the top 10 was REALLY COOL! She was hoping to win the saddle to use as a "lesson" saddle for a few kids that do not have saddles of their own yet. She has given a some of her older ones away the past few years (to kids that could not afford them or their parents would not buy them one) and could have used a new replacement. BTW great idea Paul on the St. Jude donation. I have visited the hospital twice over the years and my company has sponsored FIVE St. Jude Dream Home Giveaways in my state by donating building materials, time, and resources. Your criticism of me and my daughter gave me chuckle this week and my wife is STILL laughing. Oh yea, she did receive over 950 votes (very few of which came from dad's efforts) and appreciated each one of them! And now you know the REST of the story.
How can I say this this without being offensive. This actually offends me. Not to mention makes me feel like less of a man in general. You seem to do quite well for yourself as I see in your stable. You really should just buy it for her, I'm sure there are girls that couldn't even come close to being able to afford something like this. What a great way to try to take something away from someone that actually deserves something for free.
What's this? Another asinine post from the man whose only socialization is through this forum? Shocker.
Well I mean when you run out of things to live for and find some others who feel the same and all huddle around one thing, sure the tight bond of jerking each other off probably takes over when a new guy dares speak his mind, or even gives you a taste of you own pathetic medicine.
Easy targets like you are always a shame to lose on this forum.I'm glad to go. I'll miss the truck and some of the friends I met a long the way, but I'll be glad to no longer use this site.

so... we can't take up donations for a saddle?
or for the kids?
paul's just a bitter old fart... except when he gives bear [mouth] hugs

BTW this thread reminded me of why I used to spend time here. ....you can't buy this kind of entertainment LOL! Thanks again guys for the votes.
Off topic (as most threads go here). What building supply do ya work for these days (if you still do). I thought it was probuild when we met at mopar nats in 2010.Nah. There are far better causes to donate $$ to. The votes cost nothing. Like Paul said dad can buy her one if it comes to that but I'm sure she will figure it out. I think she just saw the contest and thought it would be fun to enter. BTW this thread reminded me of why I used to spend time here. ....you can't buy this kind of entertainment LOL! Awwwwe!!! I agree that you help her because she helped herself!! I hope she's still doing her dream! No offense taken, and BELIEVE me when I tell you I have supported her through the years and now she does it on HER OWN so when BABY GIRL asks dad for help she gets it! She could be like a lot of 23 year olds that don't work for ANYTHING but she chose a TOUGH profession and like I said works daylight to dark, has screws in her wrist, been kicked, stepped on, SH!T on, bit, and told she could not do it by many that FAILED around her, yet she gets up EVERY DAY and does it again (definition of "deserves"). So I can understand the "less of a man" thing as I am in awe every time I think of the effort she has put into her career and how many "men" she has put to shame along the way. By the way it IS a VOTING contest so feel free to vote for ANY of the other several hundred entries. Thanks for your support!
