I never understood the weight of these trucks. 5,320 is an insane number for a 2wd pickup. These trucks would have run 12s all day if they weighed 4400.

They are heavy beasts but they were made to be the biggest full size 1500 pickup when they designed it. Believe I'm around 5100 with me loaded ;-)
All seats, tailgate, glass, fenders, all body parts in tact ;-)
Usually even an empty car seat in back, haha :chain:

I have a drop in K&N, SCT with canned 93 tune, short shifter and less than 300lbs in weight reduction and I'm almost in the 12s, possibly this Sunday. All on street tires. DRs would put me mid 12s.

How much would drag radials alone help? I already have the drop in k&n and magnaflow exhaust.

I think DRs would be good for .3 to .4 on your e/t. What do you currently run in the 1/4?

I'd say low 13s. I have only raced at flashlight drags and there is no timing system.

With a full exhaust, k&n drop in, tune, cal-tracs, b&m shifter and drag slicks i ran a best of 12.34@110 back in 2008ish. Before I did any weight reduction. On an 04 you need a shorter tire than the m&h 390's, I ran a 26x11.50x17 mickey Thompson cheater slick when I ran 12.34.
